Who We Are:

D.C. INVESTIGATIONS is a corporation that was founded in July, 2004 by J. Dennis Card Jr., a licensed Florida attorney who spent many years both defending and prosecuting fraudulent insurance claims. Dennis was a senior defense attorney on a fraud investigation team (S.I.U.) at a nationally known insurance defense firm, and also a senior trial attorney at the largest P.I./workers compensation plaintiff’s law firm in Broward County, Florida. Dennis has successfully defended insurance claims at trial asserting “fraud” as a defense, and Dennis has also successfully prosecuted claims at both the trial and appellate level wherein insurance carriers have attempted to use “fraud” as a defense. As a result of this extensive "in the trenches" litigation experience on both sides of the fence, Dennis has developed expertise in conducting comprehensive background investigations on both individuals and corporations.

In September, 2008, Andrew Glenn joined D.C. Investigations. Andrew has been a licensed attorney for almost 20 years, and spent the first 7 years of his career as a trial attorney in the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office. Andrew also worked as an in house attorney for one of the largest insurance carriers in the United States, and his background has provided invaluable assistance to the clients of D.C. Investigations.

D.C. Investigations has provided background investigations, pre-employment screenings and surveillance for virtually every major insurance carrier in the United States, as well as a substantial number of fortune 500 companies and also for the United States Department of Energy.

Dennis and Andrew also operate Card and Glenn, P.A., a law firm that focuses on labor and employment law, and that provides legal advice to employers throughout the United States on issues including but not limited to pre-employment hiring issues, background investigations, wrongful termination, retaliatory discharge and wage and hour violations.
